10 Sites to Find Premium WordPress Themes

1. ThemeForest

ThemeForest

Themeforest is one of the better marketplaces out there to find not just wordpress themes and plugins, but also php scripts, and themes for flyers, resumes, and logos. It’s also a place to find royalty-free images.

I like that you can sift through the marketplace and filter by the amount of sales (or popularity) of each theme, the cost, and the ratings for each theme.

2. WooThemes

WooThemes is a great marketplace, particularly if you are familiar with and have used their popular plugin to build an ecommerce store (learn how here).

In addition to ecommerce themes, they also have business, magazine, and responsive themes available. They also feature several plugins that will expand the functionality of your wordpress website, like the Sensei plugin, which can be used to create online courses.

3. MojoThemes

mojothemes

MojoThemes is a marketplace to buy and sell premium wordpress themes. They also have Joomla, ecommerce (Magento), and Tumblr themes.

One of the things I like about Mojo Themes is that they integrate with hosting providers like Bluehost, which makes it easy to install themes for people new to WordPress.

4. WPExplorer

WPExplorer features a variety of wordpress themes and plugins that can be filtered by category and functionality. There are also coupons for wordpress users for hosting, domain purchasing, and more.

The layout of the website makes it easy to find a wordpress theme that looks nice, however, I wish there was functionality to filter your search by price, like ThemeForest.

5. Premiumwp

Premium WordPress

Premium WP is another website that you can use to find great wordpress themes. Unlike some of the other websites that I’ve mentioned, this website is a blog, not an ecommerce marketplace, and it links out to various other websites which actually host the demo for a website that you’re interested in.

6. Wpmudev

wpmudev

WPMU Dev has a variety of themes, plugins, and training videos for all of your wordpress needs. The site functions as a “membership website” which costs about $50 monthly to join. However, you can also download individual themes.

7. StudioPress

studio press

StudioPress is the website behind the very popular “genesis” wordpress framework, which you might have seen on well-known websites like copyblogger. There are a lot of beautifully designed themes to choose from.

The site includes both themes developed by StudioPress and those made by third party developers.

8. ThemeFuse

themefuse

ThemeFuse is a website design studio that has a lot of great themes to offer users. I’ve used one of their themes for another site that I run. I’ve had one or two problems, though their support forum answered them.

You can filter the marketplace by price and category, like “blogging,” “business” or “photography.”

9. ElegantThemes

Elegant Themes is another wordpress theme gallery where you can peruse themes for apps, blogs, portfolios, and more. They also offer many different premium plugins for your website.

Considering that many of these websites, Elegant Themes included, offers both pay-per-theme and yearly subscription pricing, I think that your choice will come down to what kind of website you’re looking to build and the flexibility that you’d like in the longterm.

10. ThemeRoulette

Finally, I decided to include Theme Roulette in this roundup. The site has a lot of different themes to choose from and you can keep scrolling down until you find the one you like! Keep in mind that this website does not actually host the wordpress themes. It will link to the websites of each theme that it’s highlighted.

What type of website are you looking to build?
